Where does the anger come from, exactly?

So there was a Pampers Kandoo giveaway today, and some people got a free tub of wipes, many did not. What caught my attention was how infuriated many were who hadn't gotten the free item. I have seen this over and over again. People get so angry if they don't get the free online item, they accuse others who do get it of cheating or having some internet advantage, and it becomes very chaotic. I wonder what it is, that makes people SO upset? Do they feel that if a free item is offered that it should be there until THEY personally get one? Is it that the economy is so bad that one tub of wipes will make or break the budget? Is it a sense of entitlement? What is it?

I am just happy when I win something, personally. I don't get it. And then they threaten to boycott the company. If you don't give me these free wipes I'll never use Pampers again? Come on, really?
